What It Takes to Work Hard Work is means something different for everyone. How is it possible to work hard if we do not even know what work is? To me, work means an action you do to better yourself or an object. There has to be a motive behind the world to be granted the reward in the end which is success. Anybody that is motivated wants or needs to be successful within their lifetime. Maria Bartiromo, a well known American television journalist and magazine columnist, had once said, "I think that my biggest attribute to any success that I have had is hard work. There really is no substitute for working hard.” Many people have to work hard to be successful in all categories in life; those categories could be sports, education, hobbies, or relationships. The amount of effort we put into those things define how hard we are willing to work to get where we want to be. The time we spend working hard shapes us mentally and physically to the person we are today. Success is not just given, it is to be worked at and a reward in the end for working hard. Learning how to work hard is self taught through efforts you put into something, something even as little as having a better attitude waking up. Work is engraved in our hearts and souls because it is human nature to have to work for things. Working hard is not human nature, it is a choice. Goals are a great way to keep someone motivated to work hard. I can say through experience that without any goals being set it is very hard to want to get better. Anybody can go through life, but if we do not have a goal at the end, what is the point living day to day doing nothing to better yourself? Sometimes we must sit and reflect on our lives and see if what we have been working hard to get somewhere in life and not just staying stagnant.
