It’s also about what kind of name you are trying to make your self. For example my step dad he had an identity from when he was little. He never took anything from anyone. He did what he had to do to be the man he is today and has the identity he has now. He is currently the Vice President of TD bank. He is a hard workingman he never takes a break from work even if it means coming home late hours from work or even talking on the phone with work for hours. That’s just who he is as a person. Everyone knows what kind of identity he has. It’s always hard working and very family oriented. Also his identity has impacted me because of the way he is. A good role model always helpful and teaching me his way of being an adult and learning how to be responsible the way he is with everything he does. Just the way he is the same person I want to be when I grow up. Because he has always taught me how to always bounce back from any hard challenge that has got in my way. He would always tell me “ if something knocks you down you got to bounce back and do it again.” He also said ”No matter happens everything is going to be ok even if you struggle in life that part of being a young …show more content…
Some times the way they act have in impact on them or maybe the way they dress. Or how they are around other people. Or maybe it’s has something to do about there past and it has affected them in till now. For example now in days every just want to fit it and just have a good time and hangout with there friends. Then others choice to stay home and do homework trying to make a name for them self’s instead of them trying to be other cool person at school. Even though they make fun of them for not hanging out and doing nothing their identities will change later down the road. While the so-called cool people will be stuck with the same identity they have now. Because they decide to take the wrong path and hangout with their friends instead of butting in work and getting an education and butting in effort to be someone when they are older. On the other hand the people that did work and but in time have changed there identity over time. Because for all the cool kids they will be stuck with there identities for the rest over there life while the nerd kids get a whole new identity and leave the old one behind. And as time goes on the kids that they use to hang out with and had your back threw everything they won’t be there for long. They will eventually live on and be stuck with no identity anymore. Then you got to think to your self where you still the same person when you were a child. Or where you a completely different

I am blessed to have my dad in my life and growing up with him teaching me to be a man really shows me how good I have it. I am the man I am today because he would press manners and how to treat people into me ever since I could walk and talk. My dad was devoted to have his kids be the best the could be and he will not give up until he accomplishes his goals. I have promised him to do the best I can to stay out of trouble and do the best I can in anything I do. He promised me that he will always be there for me and I couldn’t ask for anything greater than that.…

In the start of the book Nick told us “In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I've been turning over in my mind ever since. "Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone," he told me, "just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had.” (Fitzgerald 1) Nick lived by this quote and he ended up to be the only one who never seemed to want more than he had or feel the need to use anyone else but instead do anything that somebody else needed from him and nobody ever tried to do anything to help him back. America is a great place where anything is possible with enough luck and hard work but the Great Gatsby shows us that hard work isn't enough if you truly want to be successful. In order to achieve the dream you have to cheat your way to the top and run over anything in your way. “So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.” (Fitzgerald 189).…

In my opinion, if I do not finish my homework, it is not the end of the world as I know that at least one of my classmates will do the same thing like me. I should enjoy life and spend time with friends instead of being a teacher’s pet. Therefore, I make an excuse for myself that I feel tired as I have to balance school, house chores and work. Hence, on the next class day, I pretend to forget to do homework. Most of the time, I am lucky to be forgiven; however, sometimes I am in trouble and receive bad grades.…

Some people might think that parents are the number one people to influence their children. If you really think about it, us kids spend more time with our friends than with our parents. We prefer to hang out with our friends than with our parents. We are in school more time than at home, then when we get home we do homework than either talk to our friends but not really hang out with our parents. In the book “ToKill A Mockingbird” Scout wanted to be like her friends and not know how to read because her teacher yelled at ther for not knowing how to read and if she followed what her classmates did she would not get inrouble anymore.…

“I couldn’t even count how many kids just take the easy way out and disengage from the homework given at my school. They refuse to do homework and it’s lowering their grades. But I can’t blame them because I ask myself on a daily basis why I don’t just quit already and join the rest of the crown. I could actually have a life then instead of doing homework all day. I could participate in extracurricular activities like I used to when I participated in lacrosse, but now I can’t because my grades are slipping due to not finishing homework!…
