Who are you? Could you answer that in one paragraph? One poem? One song? The identity of an individual can be immensely diverse. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines identity as, “Who someone is: the qualities, beliefs that make a particular person or group different than others.” While defining identity is simple, it is difficult and demanding to explain who you are. You would not be able to fully explain yourself and you would be leaving out some very important details of who you are. People are like onions. There are new things to discover under every layer. My identity can be defined through family, personality, goals and aspirations, likes, and important possessions.
