Vidant Health is a regional health system that serves over 29 counties and 1.4 million people. I have had the opportunity to work at Vidant Health as an Event Coordination Intern. Event Coordination at Vidant Health is part of the strategic development and marketing department. The planning of events at Vidant Health is currently being supervised and managed by Sherry Jones, Event Coordinator. Sherry Jones oversees the managing, planning and designing of Vidant Health’s events which include; groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings and retirement receptions just to name a few. During my time at Vidant Health I witnessed leadership skills and management tactics that are essential for being a successful event
