Student council has been a substantial part of my life since 3rd grade and I’ve always strived to be the best leader I can be. Trisha Bemboom has helped me immensely in student council and more throughout my whole high school career. Mrs. Bemboom has helped me to improve myself as a leader, to learn to stick to my responsibilities, and to get involved. By watching her run meetings and events, it has helped me to learn how to best run meetings and events as the student council president. As a matter of fact, I see myself more as a quiet leader and not as comfortable as most when it comes to talking in front of a group or crowd. Mrs. Bemboom has unquestionably pushed me to go out of my comfort zone and I’ve learned that being an exceptional leader includes having to deal with being in difficult situations. …show more content…

Partaking in the student council organization has allowed for personal and leadership growth, and is comprised of plentiful downfalls and successes. But I believe that it requires missteps and prosperity to learn and grow as a leader. In terms of strength, my skills in proper and adequate delegation tasks have contributed to the successes of my class. However, delegating and simply telling others what to do is not leadership, it is the act of collaborating with one another to execute an event or achieve the goal. Ultimately, I believe that it is my ability to uplift and empower others as my greatest asset.…
