National Honor Society Membership Essay Scholarship, leadership, character and service are key characteristics to any individual that has a focused path for success in life. I believe that I possess these elements. Beginning with scholarship, I strive to achieve academic success by taking honors and AP classes. I have been given the opportunity to start my high school career with an acceleration in science by taking Honors Biology instead of Earth Science. I am also accelerated in mathematics by starting with Honors Algebra 2 during my freshman year. I continuously challenge myself and have succeeded in raising my Grade Point Average significantly since freshman and sophomore year. With that, I have learned that being academically ahead has numerous benefits, and have seen the outcome when I received my first college acceptance letter from University of Pittsburgh for Biological Sciences Pre- Med, and became a member of National German Honor Society. With a membership to National Honor Society, I believe that I can bring my academic strength to benefit this organisation’s volunteering and tutoring services. My leadership activities include being elected representative of the student body for four consecutive years, and I am a senior captain of the girls tennis team. All of our values, morals, judgment, decisions that we have. It is how we define ourselves and not how others define us. I wish to define myself as a National Honor Society member because I demonstrate strong leadership skill, exemplary academic achievement, strong judgment, morals, and a love for my school. I feel that it is necessary to try many extracurriculars, that my school has to offer, to build character. I have tried and have succeeded in art, theater, band, and sports.
