I believe that in order to maintain a healthy marriage and a healthy family a couple must follow the traditional values of marriage. Each individual in a relationship must be willing to completely contribute to a marriage, and sacrifice whatever is necessary. “Marriage is a particularly interesting form of love relationship because it involves an explicit contract that formalizes some of the norms governing the relationship” (Weaver and Wollart 510). If a marriage is restricting or holds an individual back, then that individual is not experiencing the true values of marriage. Marriage is a basic human right that’s ultimate purpose is procreation. The benefits that are received from a marriage are a reflection of what is being put into the marriage. Although some may argue that marriage has lost its true value because of societal involvement and benefits. I believe the marriage is beneficial if there is effort and work being put into it because the benefits are only a reflection of the work that is put in. There is no point in being involved in a marriage if it is not for emotional and generational
