According to the Huffington Post, most married couples are happiest in their third year of marriage. Marriage is something to be known as a commitment and not as a one time romance. In my opinion one needs to know the other partner well enough in order to marry the other person. These days people get married without knowing the other person well enough leading to high divorce rates. During the first 5 years of marriage there is a 20 percent chance of the couple getting divorced. This may seem to not be a big deal but two out of every 10 people get divorced out of their first 5 years of marriage. Marriage can bring happiness towards a couple throughout their daily lives and it creates a special bond that one couldn 't have while being single. …show more content…
As an individual I believe that marriages can make a couple healthier because once you get to know the person better you 're able to have experience with other people. In the story What If Marriage Is Bad for Us it says, “ According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Married people have better health than those who are not married” (162). One can say that people who are married are healthier because the fact that there are together makes it easier for them to socialize. When an individual is single it could lead to a problem where they are anti social. In a marriage, communication is key because it makes a relationship healthier. In marriages there are many responsibilities such as taking care of your children, maintaining your financial status, and having a healthy relationship. Single people are slightly not as responsible as married couples because married couples have to worry about more things than single people such as the things I mentioned earlier. without children couples are able to be responsible because suppose if one of the spouses are not responsible the other partner can improve their responsibility. In certain cultures, the women in the marriage would be more responsible because most of the women have to care of the house while taking care of the children.
Overall marriages have a positive effect on couples when it comes to making them rich, healthy, and lastly having it traditional would be a way of a better bond.
