The Nurse makes a very sexual remark hidden in the form of literal instructions. to climb a bird’s nest refers to Romeo climbing onto Juliet and Romeo will in turn have to bear the burden of juliet for the night. However not all her humor is sexual she can also be very playful such as When she is asked to retrieve Romeo’s answer to Juliet’s marriage proposal after getting romeo’s answer and coming home instead of indulging an impatient Juliet with Romeo’s response right away she chooses to stall by commenting on her aching bones saying her head feels like it will shatter to a million pieces she is tired “I am a-weary, give me leave awhile:/Fie, how my bones ache! What a jaunt have I had!”,( 2.5.27-28) she does this to tease the already agitated Juliet further kindling her impatience for Romeo’s answer. The nurse’s humor is evident throughout the play and is not an isolated incident. Characters displaying acts of selflessness and senses of humor can be described as having those traits a part of their personality. Since Tom Robinson was selfless to Mayella and the nurse was funny

While the first is arguably commendable, the other is indubitably contemptible. Being without the self implies being unable to independently judge, act, think or feel.…
