Dysfunctional Relationships
Dysfunction is defined as “Failure to achieve or sustain a behavioral normal or expected condition, as in a social relationship.” There are several dysfunctions such as bipolar, sexual, eating, brain, emotional, and personality just to name a few. Our book, An Invitation to Health defines dysfunctional relationships as “Characterized by negative and destructive patterns of behavior between partners or between parents and children.” Dysfunctional relationships exist in all walks of life; there is no exception regardless of financial status, social status, or academic status.
