I would like to know more on how to essentially be able to establish a deeper bond and rapport with everyone in my health care unit and healthcare forces. I feel as though most people in the health care forces are assigned with different new healthcare force team members to work with on a day-to-day basis. But I feel as though most people or individuals they are assigned with the majority of healthcare team members do not really have strong bond or connection with their team unit. I feel as though most individuals just interact with a member of there care team just interact to just cope with each other and deal with each other at that specific moment at hand in order to complete the task their assigned to do everyday in the hospital unit. So When working I would like form deeper connections and support in order to establish deeper bond with those who I’m working with then rather just interact with a health team worker on surface

Much of my education regarding communication focused on delegation and completing orders, not effective communication with the doctor and other care team members. One of the determinants of ensuring safe and quality care for patients relies heavily on effective communication. This becomes of greater importance with the multifaceted health issues plaguing the chronically ill and aging population. I agree that adding teambuilding skills into education programs can negate some of barriers that occur with communication in healthcare. Being able to collaborate with various healthcare providers before licensure would provide a balance of authority between individuals and provide opportunity to fine tune communication skills.…

These competencies are influenced by knowledge, skills, attitudes and values of those involved in the health care team (CIHC, 2010). When we meet these competencies we are then able to come together and work efficiently as one team of health care providers. I value the concept of collaborative practice, as it has a direct and positive impact on my client. As health care professionals, our focus should be on health outcomes of those we care for. Therefore, we need to seek guidance, understanding and support from other health professions to meet our shared end goal, which is the wellness of our clients, their families, and the…

Teamwork and collaboration, good communication, and confidence are the three strengths I believe I demonstrated during this rotation. My clinical rotation as a student nurse did not only imply observing the providers, but also meant active participation on my part. Being engaged, enabled me to put into practice what I have learned in theory. The first day of my rotation, the nurse permitted me to augment the Pitocin dose by two units after 20 minutes. I thought that was exciting because I learned about the medication in the class and participated in administering it.…
