From the daily routine in our life to the organisation of a company, management is everywhere. It is at the chore of any businesses and depending on the approach favoured by the high levels of a company, his impact on the organisation of the company will differ. There are multiple approaches to management, when it integrate a scientific component it take the name of Scientific Management.
The Scientific Management originated with F.W. Taylor (1856-1915) in 1880s, the aim was to increase the productivity of the worker. It is composed of five elements. The first element of the Scientific Management is to define the best way a task should be carried out. Through observations and scientific analysis a task is assessed, measured, and evaluated, in order to define the most efficient way the task should be done, with a limited number of steps. The second element focuses on making sure that the right worker is assign to the right task. The workers are selected on the basis of their abilities (physique and mental) to do the task, they are trained to follow specific, repetitive and well defined procedures removing any needs for thinking and are supervised by managers who assess the performance of the worker using the definition of the procedures.

Even if workers are not specifically recruited for their ability to do a specific task, based on their aptitude at performing specific task during their training, they will end up performing the same task day after day if they are good at it. Before performing any task a new worker will be trained by a co worker or a team leader on how to execute the task steps by steps. A manager will overview an area of the outlet ensuring that all the procedures are followed and workers are rewarded for their good
