According to the article entitled,” Scientific Management” by Frederick Taylor, he stated that scientific management has several benefits when properly implement in organizations. Some of the benefits are in favor of employees and employers. Taylor also stated “this form of management has initiative and incentives” (Shafritz &Hyde, p.37). This means employers over compensate their employees. In return, employees will do their job effectively. Scientific management is a new approach of managing in organizations. In order for Scientific management approach to be understood and to be effective in organizations ,it was divided into four categories known as “ Principles of Scientific Management”.

This approach eliminates various practices of completing the job tasks. By training employees the same way, this will help employees become acceptable, transition, and adapt to organizations’ new policies and methods.
The fourth principle is to ensure job duties are divided equally among employees and management. In the past, job duties were completed by employees and management was not held accountable of complete or assists with job duties. The positive outcome of sharing the job responsibility among management and employees is that it is no disagreements and no strikes. Even though, this new scientific management approach has advantages, it also has its disadvantages. One of the disadvantages of the scientific management approach is employees and management adjusting to the new principles of scientific management. Another disadvantage of scientific principle is misunderstanding of rules and regulations.
