Even if this may be the case, it is still not a strong argument for keeping abortion legal. Just because it may be a possibility, this does not discourage people to stop standing up for their beliefs. Pro-life movements are meant to not only illegalize abortion, but also to create a culture where abortion will be seen as unnecessary. For example, the Thirteenth Amendment in the United States Constitution outlawed slavery in America. Nonetheless, slavery still exists. Over a century has past since then, but this doesn’t mean we should repeal the amendment and allow slavery once again. Just because some people will break a law doesn’t mean the law shouldn’t be in place. The obvious response to continuous slavery in this country is to continue to fight, not legalize it, thus with abortion.
