So bascically an abortion is a medical procedure that purposely ends a pregnancy before the birth of the child. Those who support abortion, trust that fetuses do not truly become a person until they are physically born and that babies should not come into the world unwanted or unloved (Abortion). Therefore, according to Archdiocese of Baltimore, when a baby is conveyed, the DNA from both sides of the parents gets passed down to the child and is considered an individual (Abortion is Murder). When a woman becomes impregnated, the US Government actually considered the unborn child a human being. So, the DNA that makes up the embryo, specifies that the child is a person. Just 18 to 21 days after the baby is conceived, they start to develop a heart beats, and around 40 days after fertilization, brain waves can start to be detected, meaning that it is becoming an unborn living baby (Unborn babies can feel pain). This means that if a women undergoes an abortion, they are performing a murder because they are killing a human being. This is a mistake that two adults made and they are punishing the child for their mistake. Observe that by ascribing rights to the unborn, i.e., the nonliving, the anti-abortionists obliterate the rights of the living” (Ayn Rand). I have no qualms saying that I am firmly pro-choice. Our society has many double standards because we conform to what makes others happy, but it is time we take a stand and help save the lives of many innocent children. A solution to this problem is to follow our constitution and make abortions illegal.…

Seven out of the nine justices voted on giving extended abortion rights to American women. Abortion is an extremely personal decision between a woman, her family, and doctor. Politicians and government officials have no place or say about the choices a women makes with her body. The activists that are pro-choice also recognize that health care and education help reduce the number of unintended pregnancies and thereby also diminishes the need for abortions.…

Wade allowed for women to legally obtain abortions throughout their entire pregnancy, however, conditions were put into place that allowed for states to regulate abortions during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. The right to have an abortion is protected under the constitution’s 14th amendment which protects the basic rights of citizens. This ruling has left our country divided in half by those who are for and against abortion. Those who oppose Roe v. Wade are referred to as pro-life and those in agreement are pro-choice.…

There are many factors that play into having an abortion, For instance, the person might not be able to carry a baby because of their health, or the parent might not want to bring a child into the world because of birth defects (Amy Harmon, Beth Reinhard). Although abortion should be legal, not everyone is going to agree with me, and I respect his or her opinion. In the article Abortion, they argue that fetuses should be considered human beings and that abortion is tantamount murder (Abortion, paragraph 27). Much like the mother, the unborn has the same right as a human being. “This individual has a fundamental right to life, which must be protected” States Dr. Jerome Lejeune (procon, paragraph2, number 16).…
