Many people assume that guns are dangerous because of all the controversy that comes with them. I myself have never thought negatively about guns unless they are used in an unsafe manner. I grew up knowing guns are dangerous, but I was fortunate to have a family that taught me the good and bad and how to properly use them. According to pewsocialtrends.org, 95% of gun owners believe it is essential for gun owners with children to talk to their children about gun safety. For those who view shooting as harmless entertainment, operating guns can be considered intellectualism because it allows me to use intellectual skills such as balance, increasing self-control, and strengthening gun safety knowledge. The controversial side of owning a gun was derived from the numerous reoccurring murders and mass shootings in America. Of course, this causes a panic about people owning guns but there are always other factors that lead to these mishaps. In fact, many of the weapons used are often bought illegally.
