Symone's Three Day Diet Analysis

Compared to the beginning of The Principle of Nutrition Course Symone’s diet has changed a little but not as much as it should have changed. There is still a lot of work that must be done to gain a healthy lifestyle and to reach the specific targets for the main food groups on (Super Tracker, 2015) website. Since the beginning of the semester Symone has not been eating as much fast food as in the beginning when every other day fast food was something that her diet consisted of between Chick Fila, McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s and more. Comparing her three day diet analysis I would say that she has cut down eating out at fast food restaurants to about two – three times a week. To be able to keep the risk of having diabetes when she gets older she knows that exercising and eating right will have to be done. After learning that Type 2 Diabetes is the most common form of diabetes. Type 2 diabetes symptoms include high blood glucose levels, wounds that heal slowly or do not heal properly and also having type 2 diabetes is associated with making people tired. According to (Whitney, 2012,2014) some more ways that will help keep down the risk of developing diabetes would be for Symone to control the amount of carbohydrates she intake and to also consume an adequate amount of nutrients and limit the amount of added sugar she has in her diet. It was also nice to see the opinions that classmates were giving and sharing what they were doing to have a healthy diet. This Nutrition class has shown the importance of why having good nutrition is very important. Shows that with having a healthy diet it can help you to maintain a weight that is good for you. She learned that having and maintaining a balanced diet can be very important when trying to keep down the risk of getting serious illnesses like certain cancers, devolving any type of diabetes, heart disease, gallbladder disease and many more deadly diseases. Also since learning that eating healthier can help to give you energy that you need she has been pushing for a healthier diet. Becoming more aware of the importance of all these facts eating healthy and maintaining a healthy diet should start to become easier for
