Not Everyone is a Feminist
On November 8th 2016 polls will close for an important presidential election against the Democratic choice Hillary Rodham Clinton, whom is the first female presidential nominee, and the Republican choice Donald Trump. This essay will evaluate and critic the two presidential candidate’s priorities, what they want changed and how they would change them from a liberal and radical feminist point of view. These priorities that will be criticized and evaluated through a liberal and radical feminist standpoint are paid family leave, child care, and equal rights for women. These issues are important so that America can be more transcendent and not stay in the same oppressive state for women.
In order to evaluate each candidate, one must understand their history prior to running for president. Hillary Rodham Clinton was the first lady of America in 1993 to 2001. Hillary Clinton was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2001, and she later became the 67th U.S. secretary of state in 2009, serving until 2013. In 2016, she became the first woman in U.S. history to become the presidential nominee of a major political party.
Donald Trump is a billionaire real estate mogul and reality television personality. In 2016, he became the Republican presidential nominee. Donald Trump has no prior political experience, but that is what makes some of the American people seem to think of him as a good candidate.
