Also known as the original gun law states " A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." Numerous people today live by this law as they fight the battle to their right to bear arms. We are guaranteed as citizens of the United States of American the right to bear arms. Harsher Legislation concerning gun control or the banning of guns is not the absolute solution to gun violence; it would only be also the abolishment of a right authorized by our founding fathers. Gun ownership proves that as citizens we can and have the right to protect ourselves if there is a threat to national security, and also one’s right to bear arms also prevents the government from “suppressing” US citizens. Regardless, of the year we are granted the right to keep and bear arms. B. Guns Save Lives/ Self Defense. There is a country wide advocate group known as “Guns Saves Lives,” their slogan being “We defend your right to defend yourself” they host workshops, attend Anti-gun rallies, and speak on major television shows on behalf of people 's rights as Americans to bear arms. They have billboards posted all over America saying:
“Dailed 911, And I am on hold. Sure wish I had a gun.”
“Thugs menacing a Lady Alone? Deterrence requires more than a phone.” They dismiss the idea that if there are harsher gun laws or gun-free zones, then…
