Leadership is a major element for achieving TQM, because it requires the manager to provide inspiring vision, strategic directions which will be interpreted for all the employees. To achieve TQM within an organisation, dedication from the managers in leading the employees is required. Primarily the manager has to interpret the policy of TQM and then show his/her belief and dedication through his daily practice. It is paramount for management to assure that his/her philosophy values, strategies and objectives are transferred to all levels from the organisation and that there is clearness and orientation in the functioning of employees (Serafimovska, 2012). A TQM system aspires to improve product quality and may modify organisational processes, structures and individual responsibilities to attain this. Incorporating a quality management system within your organisation, all industrial activities focus on quality. Incorporating a quality management system, one should take into consideration all the functions as processes that should be improved. Continuous improvisation is vital in maintaining a high-quality system for the organisation to function sufficiently. It is of extreme importance to focus on customer 's satisfaction as the present system may require alteration in regards to the client 's requirements and perceptions. The main goal of a quality management system is to beat the competitors. Within the construction industry this is achieved via adding value at each stage of the project development because it defines long term plans for the construction company at the same time provide a framework for it. Employees of the workforce are a valuable form of resource as they are utilised to construct the proposed infrastructure. Members of the workforce liaise with each other and take part in construction works together, in a teamwork effort in order to attain the set goals. It is paramount for management to provide an appropriate working environment, thus enables the workforce to gain confidence and take pride when undergoing construction activities as their well-being are being acknowledged by their superiors. Attaining a high performance work system is an asset to the company as the quality would assure a customer satisfaction result.
