It began when my five best friends from my dorm hall decided that they wanted to live together off-campus sophomore year. The influence that three computer science engineers, a mechanical engineer , and a business student can have on one 's life is incredibly significant, to say the least. The reason I enrolled in this class was because I had the freedom to chose from whichever courses I wanted, without the traditional restrictions of pre-med requirements. I continued with my interests in psychology and decided that I wanted to do more than just learn Spanish in the classroom. I wanted to impact peoples ' lives, the same way I intend to as a medical professional, and I wanted to really make a difference in the world. I started to realize that this was, and always will be the ultimate goal for me. I was able to teach students Spanish at the third and fourth grade level through this class and enrolling in it was easily one of the best decisions I ever made in college. I was introduced to the multi-faceted world of teaching, classroom management, lesson planning, and assessing students. I truly appreciate all the work my teachers and professors have done for me so much more now that I have been 'on the other side ' of it all. Being able to pass on knowledge to others is the most rewarding experience I have ever had and I 'm certain that I will continue to use the skills I have learned through teaching music and piano for years to
