Since the beginning of my freshman year of High School my mindset consisted of being in the top 10 percent and taking Pre-AP classes because I knew I wanted to go to college in the future. I knew taking Pre-AP classes would be a challenge for me, but it gave me the resources to become a better student in my academics. For example the teachers in Pre-AP expect more from their students and give out Home-work and projects and set deadlines when the assignments are due. This made me more responsible for my work and my grades. In addition Pre-AP classes for me created a competitive and inviting ambience, because most of my peers have the same mentality to go to college.
My first AP class I took was my sophomore year and I took Spanish IV AP. The class gave me a perspective on how an AP class works. It is almost the same as Pre-AP, but AP consists of more work.
