Amendments to the Constitution proposed by the governor would include the vote of a majority of seven judges of the Supreme Court of Justice to invalidate any law passed by state or federal lawmakers.
The amendments would also prohibit federal agencies, "run by unelected bureaucrats", from creating or formulating federal laws and overruling or invalidating state laws.
One of the amendments would be aimed at restoring the balance of power between the federal and state governments, limiting the former to the powers expressly delegated in the Constitution.
Another amendment would allow state officials to file lawsuits in federal court when federal officials exceed their limits and one more would allow a two-thirds majority of states to override federal law or regulation.
