Communication is the act or process of using words, sounds, signs, or behaviors to express or exchange information or to express your ideas, thoughts, feelings, etc., to someone else. Language is symbols that can be combined in an infinite number of ways for the purpose of communicating abstract thought.(Henslin 43) Language is a very important aspect in life, it is the method we use to interact with people. Social interaction is one person 's actions influencing someone else; usually refers to what people do when they are in one another 's presence, but also includes communications at a distance.(Henslin 92) The way we interact changes depending on who we are communicating with, for example, when you talk to a baby the tone of your voice changes. It is also important in today 's society because it is what helps us develop whether that be as a person or our community. Language and communication is how we express ourselves, it is what we use to advance our society and generation. When you think of language or communicating you automatically assume that it means verbally. However, that is wrong, with time we have learned and developed multiple ways to interact with others, one example would be using sign language or even just simple body language and facial expressions. We not only communicate by directly speaking to others but through other sources such as television, advertisement, music and games. Each of those sources send multiple messages to the viewers. The…
