Communication allows us to share ideas, feelings and facts and in the times we now live in, communication can be done in so many different ways (social media, e-mail, Internet, telephone, radio and television). It is so much more easier now to communicate with people on the other side of the country or even on the other side of the world than it was a decade ago and this is due to the huge advances in communication technology, we are all instantly connected with each other more than ever, we can send and receive messages and pictures instantly from anywhere in the world.

In the public life there is probably more advantages than disadvantages, for the advantages companies can now advertise their business to a much greater audience than they could ever do before, people can bank online through their smartphones and transfer money from one account to another with the click of just a few buttons and for the disadvantages, terrorism is a massive disadvantage we are all subjected to also, there is a lot of bad peer pressure through advertisements for example, someone who is struggling with a gambling addiction and they are constantly seeing online betting adverts, but in the private life there are more disadvantages than advantages, some of the disadvantages are that we are all a target for fraud and hacking of our personal email and bank accounts and once we are online we basically all have little to no privacy also, young and old people are targets for online bullying and for the advantages, we get to keep in contact with our loved ones with ease who might live abroad and keep in contact with friends we might not get to meet that …show more content…
There are also fitness apps that help people keep track of their workouts from week to week and they can look back at their progress and it helps they keep motivated and on track with their goals and the thought that you could do this 10 years ago from just a phone would have been unthinkable.

A lot of health problems have been linked to the use of communications technology especially if it has been used for long periods of time without regular breaks for example, strained eyes from looking at a computer screen for too long, back pain, neck pain and shoulder problems for instance muscle spasm’s and cramps, this can all be caused by doing the same action over and over again like crouching over a desk while working on a computer also typing for hours at a time and not moving your muscles enough will all cause muscle cramps and strains.
