A healing environment is important to cure patients as they come across issues and dangers in their life. Healing hospitals are considered a paradigm for such an environment and thus are an adequate option for an individual to not only receives physical healing, but also mental and spiritual healing. In this essay, it will be discussed components of a healing hospital and their relationship to spirituality, the challenges of creating a healing environment and biblical aspects that support the concept of a healing hospital.

The concept of the healing hospital contains three key components including a healing physical environment, the integration of work design and technology, and a culture of radical loving care (Eberst, 2008). A healing physical environment considers the care for the patient as a caregiver would attend to their families. This can allow for a real healing environment which could support patients and families to cope with all the burdens such as illnesses or loud noises (Gilbert, 2008). Next, the integration of technology and design establishes a more efficient work effort, as well provides additional privacy, and promotion to the healing environment. Along with a caring and healing environment, technological advancements allows for that healing care to happen (Gilbert, 2008).
