The NP role was created to serve the underserved, to bring medical care to those who could not pay, and to care for the well-being of all humanity. NPs sacrifice themselves to serve, to do the will of God. NP’s treat others with dignity and respect- they see their patients as the image of God. They are always willing to learn and grow- not letting pride blind their mission. They take advantage of every moment when serving to fully commit their time and effort without getting distracted by the chaos. No matter what challenges are put before them, they strive for excellence. They exude comfort, compassion, and sympathy. They feed, hydrate, bathe, and nurture each and every patient they encounter. Matthew 5: 14-15 (King James Bible), says, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house”. NPs bring light to a world that is trapped in darkness. Mercy is a cornerstone value in servitude. Mercy gives love to those who suffer. NPs do not judge nor discriminated, they provide medical care, healing, compassion, love, forgiveness, and mercy to all of their patients. NPs serve God’s people as He would serve them.
