Stress is a very common thing in many people 's lives especially athletes. “Stress is a physical, mental, or emotional factor that causes bodily or mental tension”(Stoppler, 2015).There are many types of stress that a young athlete may go through in life. The people in the lives of an athlete could feasibly be the main cause of stress. Parents, Coaches, and even a young athlete themselves can create stress and stressful situations. Sports trainers should solve this problem, instead of pushing a young athlete to do better, friends, family, and coaches should all congratulate them on how well they have done and encourage them to have fun while engaging in sports. There are many causes for a young athlete to become stressed, parents, coaches, and peers are huge stress factors from all the pressure they will place on the young athlete through their sports career, this needs to be realized, as well as adjusted to decrease the number of stresses and pressures a young athlete will face.

Parents have a huge impact on kids, so they also may cause a young athlete to feel stressed. Many parents will not mean to place stress on their child but it still often happens. Parents all would like their children to be the best, pressuring them to always practice and some even becoming disappointed if their child does not meet their expectations.
