Over time, crime rates have continued to increase. In America, gun related crime has been soaring. Every year, more crimes occur that are involving guns. Firearms are used to hunt, as well as to provide protection. However, they are also used to kill people. As the population in America rises, more crimes take place. Urban settings are an excellent example of the cycle of crime. When people are crowded together, crimes happen as a result. Then, community members buy guns for safety. Those firearms result in more crimes occurring, and the cycle continues. Since there are so many guns in circulation, the chances of them ending up in the wrong hands increase.
