Many teachers are taking a stance against technology in the educational system. Educational institutes should be embracing technology for many valid reasons. Technology can be very useful in the classroom. These institutes do not like to involve technology in the learning atmosphere but what they do not realize is it helps students stay focused, get more involved in their classes, and stay current with their assignments. Technology helps students with learning disabilities and help students get ready for their future careers. Jeremy Posey a mathematics coordinator and NMSI expert says, “Technology can be defined as any tool that can be used to help promote human learning” and “These are all innovations that have helped countless people during regular daily activities, but they can also have a profound impact on classroom learning.”(Huneycutt) Educational institutes have become slow and resistant to change past ways of teaching, however, they should embrace technology in the hallways instead of trying to ban it. …show more content…
This, however, is not the case. Technology can help students because it will encourage them to get more interested in the subject, so instead of being distracting it can be an advantage in learning. For parents and institutes, it will be a good investment for the future. Students can use the computer or tablet in the future and also the educational institute can use the technology for future students. Parents that get the technology from the school only have to pay a small deposit to the school, which is more cost-effective than buying their own computer for their child. Technology will help students learn more effectively by making their experience more fun and exciting. Technology will help students rather than hinder
