Because students have grown up with technology and use it in their daily lives, it would make sense for schools to start using them as learning aids, rather than books. "Small business owners are now more dependent than ever on technology for growth since their customers and employees are so geographically dispersed,"Although some parents say that they would rather have their children learn from books like they used, our world is changing and electronics in the classroom would be more beneficial. Although some say that it is muscle memory which is why the teachers give notes, 80 percent of the time, the notes will get lost. If students used technology instead of books, the notes would not be able to get lost because the notes would be on their electronics. This is a great thing for students because it keeps them organized and tidy. For example, teachers put grades and assign the homework on School Loop. Having technology to help students learn is helpful because it is a fast and easy way to look up information. Also students can help each other by texting if they don’t know how to do the assignment. Another reason why technology should not be stopped at school is because if the teachers are not prepared a week in advance, the students would not have a good time rushing to write all their homework and assignments down.…

Based on my personal experience with the public education system, I would say that the role of technology should stay about where it is currently at. I personally have never found that technology really took up a large portion of the classroom. Other than the use of the smart boards to display notes and show the occasional video, I have never found that the amount of technology was super over whelming in school. However, that is not to say that we need to see more technology integrated into the public education system. While there may be enough technology provided by the school, the problem comes into play when you realize that most students have cell phones that they use constantly throughout the school day.…

For decades we have looked upon video games as being a distraction, an interference and an excuse to avoid responsibilities. We constantly hear about the negative effects video games have on our physical and mental health, and the impact they can have on a child's cognitive development. All of this dispute has led parents and teachers to believe that video games should be under tight restrictions or even banned altogether from school, preventing children from accessing a fascinating world of interactive educational resources. I believe that we should not only allow, but encourage the use of these powerful assets in school and at home for both educational and leisure purposes.…
