The explicit inter-disciplinary collaboration and the depicted comprehensive domains of professional practice provide strength to the model. It gives direction for collaborators on how to participate in a team setting. The members must consider all the IP domains and work within their level of expertise. The collaboration process provides the opportunity for each clinician and the client to lead.
The circular component of the model shows the continuous nature of the dynamic aspects presented and adds simplicity to the collaborative and interrelated communications between the client, family and clinicians.
