Our finding revealed that in recent months since the change in administration, the staff schedules pose a challenge for the current Health Services Administrator (HSA). The challenge with the schedule was that it was developed on a monthly basis by the previous DON which led to conflict with staff not being proper informed about their schedules and assignment. This information was verified during the audit’s team interview with staffs. The team did observe at least one staff member being asked to return home as she was not schedule for the shift. The HSA reported that a new proposed schedule was being developed at the time of the visit and which will address this problem.
