There are many responsibilities to being a Healthcare Administrator. I will have to manage, direct, and coordinate medical services in a variety of settings. Such as clinics, hospitals, and practices operated by groups of physicians. I will work to minimize cost while maximize efficiencies to make sure the best care possible is presented to patients. I’m going to have to be able to communicate with not only my staff but with patients and corporate. When there is a problem I’m going to have to think of the pros and cons of different ways of solving them. I will have to notice when there is a problem and come up with solutions to the problem to prevent it from becoming a bigger problem. I will also have to have strong verbal skills such as communicating by speaking and writing. I will have to listen and understand what people are wanting. My career goal is to manage a children’s hospital. In order to achieve my goal, I will have to obtain my master’s degree. As I am continuing my education I will manage a nursing home or a Dr. office. That will also give me the experience I will need to become a hospital administrator. While working in a smaller facility would be nice I prefer the bigger facilities due to the excitement of a hospital. Ultimately I want to manage a network of hospitals that specializes in
