Strategic planning is a process used by an organization to determine its long-term vision and goals and how to accomplish them. It looks at where the company is, where it wants to be and what it needs to get there. Human resources planning (HRP) anticipating the needs of the organization regarding the deployment of human resources in the most optimal manner possible. Strategic human resource management (SHRM) involves melding strategic planning with human resource planning. The process and planning are integrating activities into the organization for the strategic plan that aliens, with Strategic Planning, SHRM along with Human Resources Planning. The bottom line is that Human Resources has to be link with the organization to make the company workable. Human resources should play an important part in strategy formulation because human resources can help the company determine whether a strategy is feasible given current levels of human capital at the company often referred to as inputs.
The roles and responsibilities of Human Resources departments are transforming as the modern business faces pressures of globalization. The global supply of talent is short of its long-term demand, and the gap is a challenge for employers everywhere. The shortage between the demand and supply of talent is likely to continue to increase, notably for high skilled workers and for the next generation of business executives.
