Social Care Observation

Improved Essays
A. This week for the reporting period I didn’t have the opportunity to observe much because of the short week I had in the agency. However, I did get the chance to direct calls from clients to social workers. I also participated in going shopping with one of the social worker aide’s for foster children. There was also an independent living meeting that took place in our office this week but I didn’t get a chance to sit in on it. Lastly I attended court with my supervisor because she had to testify for a custody battle.
B. I honestly didn’t really feel anything about my observations this week because I didn’t see much. However, I did enjoy shopping for children this week. I’m sure they are going to love all of the clothes we bought for them.

    1. It was appropriate for the social worker to intervene being that he would have to be the one to care for his wife after she is discharged. In which he wouldn't be able to if he is always intoxicated because she needs proper care and he wouldn't be able to provide it under this circumstance. Also, he would have to be the one to care for his two children while their mother is ill and if both of them are ill who would be able to care for them. So, for the social worker to intervene she was only looking at the patient's well being and her environment when she returns home.…

The therapist who worked one-on-one with the student was in the process of receiving her Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis. The parents paid $120 per hour for these services, but I think they received some financial aid through the government .…
