In my secondary school life, being a head prefect allows me to have communication with other prefects, manage & lead the prefect to maintain school discipline in daily routine and in the event such as Sport Day. Besides, I have been the peer leader in which I have accompanied freshman to take part in adventure-based activities, develop personal potential, assist them in studying and provide them with psychological counseling. I strongly believe that this type of activity launching experience can help me to hold the group activity skillfully and fluently at community center.…

I believe that they had received one letter that he was at 5 absences, which we always send out as a warning that attendance is going to become an issue and he needs to improve. And his grades were not as usual, in the past Aaron has been and A-B-C student, when he left us he had a B in P.E. he was not passing economics, calculus, English or photo and had an A- in graphic design. It was just after the first quarter and he had another quarter to complete those. It is just at the time he left us he was not passing those classes.…
With many individuals receiving help from social workers, I was convinced to choose this profession because I saw social work as a way to help individuals overcome these challenges. Knowing that I have helped the organization assist children and their families with preparing the children for grade school, and that I helped provide them with important resources will be my greatest reward. Also, learning that I am a person who works well with others played a role in confirming my choice of social work. Working well with others in order to care for the children are one of the reasons the organization is helping the children progress in school…

It started with a few classes during the beginning of my college years that I realized where my true passion lied and things that should be considered when choosing a career. Passion, commitment, desire to improve, and love are just a few things that should be considered and examined when making the choice of a life long career. It was later during that intro to Social Work course, which started as my minor, where I realized that the field of Social Work would be able to feed my passion and concern for a client while at the same time provide counseling, advising, as well as education. Learning the different paths that could be taken in this field along with the countless opportunities excited me and encouraged me to move forward with pursuing a career in Social Work and finding my stride in the field. During the journey of undergraduate studies I quickly realized that my greatest love in the Social Work field was with behavioral/mental health in pre-adolescents and geriatrics.…

West Philly Corps Social Service Observation During my summer assignment in West Philadelphia, it was not difficult for me to blend in with the community. I came from a Corps similar to West Philly Corps; they are located in the heart of the urban community where gun shots bark like dogs' night and day. The people here are without a job, lots of single parents and abundances of poverty. I have never lived in such neighborhoods, but going to the Corps in my home town.…
