We become motivated to get better grades. And by getting striving to get better grades we could potently get better jobs to better our future. By this I mean if money motivates us to work harder to achieve our goals then we could work harder at out future jobs and then have a happier life and future. Yet not all see it like this, Harvard economics professor Roland Fryer, ''studied nearly 40,000 students at low-performing urban public schools throughout Houston, Dallas, New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., and he found that paying for success, at best, results in a very small — if any — impact on improving grades'' by this he means that grades only increased slightly if at all while being motivated by money. ''Students’ overall GPAs at the end of the year increased only slightly, with the average 9th grader’s GPA increasing from 1.9 to 2.0'' this is like hanging money in front of a pig and expecting it to run faster. By this I mean when we are with are parents we always want something and ask for it but is we had our own money we would be able to wisely choose whether we need it or not and decide ether to spend money on the item or continue saving for a bigger item. This teaches children to manage our own money and learn from our mistakes. An allowance also teaches the concept of budgeting. By this I mean if a child spends all his monthly budget the first day of the month they will have to wait the rest of the month waiting to be paid again. this is like eating dinner early but then having to wait longer till next
