Should Marijuana Be Legalized?
For the past five to ten years there has been a significant controversy on whether or not marijuana should be legalized or not. Some individuals believe that marijuana should be legalized because of the fact that there haven’t been any recorded deaths as a result of using marijuana, as well as, the possible tax benefits if the state passes a law making marijuana legal. Additionally, it is also believed marijuana should be legalized because people are going to continue using marijuana and the fact that it is illegal will not stop anyone from using it, however, if it is legalized the state can actually benefit from it as well as control the amount of marijuana an individual purchases. On the other hand, others believe that marijuana should not be legalized because of the fact that marijuana is associated with crime and violence from the buying and selling of it, as well as the fact that there are some negative health aspects resulting from the use of marijuana.
