Studies show if a student had used marijuana 24 hours prior to learning, they will have an issue paying attention, and will be unable to memorize what they have learned (“Marijuana Myths & Facts”). Popular health issues are caused by reason of an abuse of marijuana and what nobody can seem to understand is that marijuana is extremely dangerous. The people who use it either have poor judgment, or truly do not know the outcome of abusing this drug. “Porter claims that research shows young people are particularly vulnerable to lung and brain damage. If a student or employee chooses to use marijuana not only will it affect their grades, but if a professor or employer sees it, they could be fired or it could ruin their potential to find a career. “Teenagers who smoke marijuana daily are more than 60 percent less likely to complete high school than those who never use. They 're also 60 percent less likely to graduate from college and seven times as likely to attempt suicide, says a new study of adolescent cannabis use Tuesday in the Lancet Psychiatry, a British journal of health research” (Christopher Ingraham A.3). This research shows how teens who use marijuana can completely ruin their educational potential. If a smart kid gets mixed with the wrong people, and gets addicted to marijuana, even if that person was already accepted by colleges, if they found out he smokes marijuana, they might kick him out, and he possibly will never find a job in which allows marijuana. On average teenagers who affiliate themselves with marijuana find themselves dropping an IQ of 6 points (Barber). This also shows how students can drop grades, and forget information if they use marijuana. If a company does not allow any type of marijuana usage, this means that even if they are using it medically they will still not allow it.
