Decent Essays
Somthing students and teachers of this school are always talking about is, " Do we really need to wear our ID's on and visible?" It's a commonly asked question throughout the day. Personally i dont really care whether or not if i have to wear an ID, but both students and teachers have very good reasons on why we should/ should'nt. I will be going over 3 of these reasons and giving my opinion.

Reason #1 A teacher said, "An ID can be used as a weapon." then they gave an example "by pulling the lanyard from the back of the neck you can choke another student." i think it was wrong to share that knowledge because the average student would not think of this way to harm another student.I also think they were right to share this information because

On the school bus on the way to school, I showed a young lady I went to school and church with the knife, she was in 8th grade. 20 minutes into my first period a dean came and got and it wasn’t until I was in the resource officer’s office that I realized that the person I showed the knife to had told on me.…

One of those cons is angry students may use violence after a bad grade. For example, if a teacher or professor gives the student a bad grade on a test, then the student can walk in the school with a gun and shoot the teacher or professor and nobody would stop him because carrying a gun in school would be accepted. In May of 2000 a thirteen year old honors student shot his teacher on the last day of classes at Lake Worth Community Middle School. Another reason teachers or students carrying weapons in schools is an issue is students can feel uncomfortable if a students or teacher carries a weapon.…

Should teachers wear body cameras I think teachers shouldn’t wear body cameras because there are already cameras around the school. The positive result of wearing body cameras is that if the teacher catches the students doing something bad the teacher can just record them then call the parent and show the parent what they are doing. The negative result is if the student not doing nothing and just doing they work and the teacher just records for no reason that’s no right.…

Students wearing uniform cuts down bullying and improves discipline, helps promote focus, and save parents money throughout the school year. The main reason for uniforms is that they promote discipline, which in turn helps improve academic performance (Bennett). People who oppose school uniform have stated uniform requirement violates, or disregards, the right to freedom of expression, ("Fashion do or don 't?").
