I have had a love for sports for as long as I can remember; my dad and I would always watch the Miami Dolphins or the Miami Heat play even if it was a school night. As a cheerleader, I am required to attend all volleyball and basketball games, but even if I didn 't need to go I would still go because I love the excitement of the games. I even go to the soccer games to support our team no matter how late the games are. These games sparked my interest for helping the injured athletes. In college, I plan to pursue a major in athletic training. I have a high respect for athletes whether they be football players, basketball players, or baseball players. College sports, major league sports, or even high school sports are played with a high level of intensity that can cause injuries; my goal is to help players get better so they can get back to doing what they love while I 'm doing what I love. This degree would be beneficial to my career choice because it would provide me with the knowledge to do what I want. I would know how to prevent injuries, treat injuries, and help with the rehabilitation process. My goal for the future is to be anywhere where I can help athletes stay healthy or become healthy. Maybe it will be for the Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Lightning, or Atlanta Braves or maybe even a high school team.
