About 75% of children are sexually abused or have been abused in foster care ("Sexual Abuse"). Children who have been sexually abused suffer from health, mental, and social problems. A foster child’s file does not always state that a child is being sexually abused by the foster family. Social workers are unaware of these issues because children are unable to share this disgusting abuse to them or another adult. For these abused foster children, "home" is a now a place they fear abuse and neglect. How can a child trust someone after being sexually abuse? The simple answer is they can’t. Children who are sexually abuse act out, which can be notice by someone if closely payed attention to. Yet foster children are simply not giving much attention. Some signs that a child is sexually abused is difficulty sleeping, bed wetting, poor hygiene, behavior problems, anger issues, and word triggering ("Sexual Abuse"). Foster children tend to share rooms which allows a higher chance for them to be abused. A foster child is in the system not to be abused sexually but to be loved and care
