2. Social wellness is based off of a person’s involvement within their community. Participating in school clubs or sports are two good behaviors that can increase a person’s social wellness. It is also good to have good relationships with one’s family, and to regularly hang out with friends or coworkers. Again, this can be a challenge of finding the time, but it is very important to prioritize socializing. Isolating oneself and not engaging in any sort of community activities can be detrimental a person’s social wellness because they are not getting regular social interaction. They won’t develop social skills, which can lead to further isolation, and a worse state of social wellness.

A negative impact on the emotional dimension can be avoided by engaging with positive people and keeping your relationships strong. This will in turn keep you happier and more socially and emotionally well. This will also help instill social skills that will make you more comfortable in a social setting, give you a stronger aura of professionalism, and benefit you in your life. Spending down time with friends and family can strengthen bonds, which in turn benefits you by giving you more motivation. You will have people you want to make proud, and this will act as a driving force for accomplishing your tasks and goals. Setting aside time for social outings events is a way to keep yourself more engaged. More involvement in your community will cause you to be happier overall because of the fun experiences you will have and the great people you will meet.
