Self-confidence is one of the most sought-after traits in most people. However, it is also one of the hardest attributes to come across. So many individuals may claim to have an unbreakable sense of self-love and confidence. But even the strongest of morale will often understandably crack under pressure, given the overwhelming sense of stress and worry that are caused by high expectations. And more often than not, these high expectations come from that individual themselves, their own problems and suffering stemming from self-made pressure. There could be a multitude of reasons as to why a person could be introverted, a little more on the quiet side – though this may not always be the worst trait to have. During the course of my own life, I have somewhat struggled in coming to terms with my more laid back demeanor. Throughout high school especially, there was always such a strong emphasis on being a louder, more, “out there” sort of personality. These types of people always fell into the leadership positions, despite the fact that a loud voice does not equate to proper leadership. There was a battle for self-discovery, and I spent many hours wondering how I was supposed to fit in. Looking back on previous years, I realize now that I was given many opportunities to improve myself and enhance, as well as discover, certain qualities about myself, through experiences such as my time prior to making it onto our school’s dance team, which gave me the opportunity of a lifetime, to…
