This project considers “See-Through Glass Company” and applies the approach of Idealized Design (Ackhoff, 2001) to offer a potential redesign strategy.

However, with little change in its product list, pricing or market strategy, the volunteer Board is concerned. Competition continues to grow, technology is changing and the community needs are beginning to shift creating less demand and more competition.
The infrastructure of “See-Through Glass Company” includes 3 primary Departments: Accounting, Sales and Human Resources; each led by a single director.
The leadership team is comprised of the 3 department leaders including a CEO who manages strategic planning, a COO who iS charged with daily operations and a CFO who manages all finances.
This leadership team has been present since the company creation. See-Through Glass Company uses a traditional management model utilizes a hierarchy structure with little middle management.
ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT SYSTEM ANALYSIS
The Accounting Department currently houses two units: Payroll and Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable.
