Like many religions, there is a dark side behind Scientology, a reason as to why people believe the methods being taught. In the film it goes into detail about the organization's way of crime, it mentions how they target celebrities in order to gain money and spread their beliefs publicly. Former members of the organization willingly spoke about the hidden agenda the church had. They didn’t know any better and once in the organization there life is signed over to someone who doesn’t have any soul purpose in helping anyone but himself.
