Finally, he has been nominated for many awards for the films he has been in. For example, he won the Golden Globe for best performance by an actor in a motion picture for a comedy or musical, for Sherlock Homes. All of this and the fact that the first Avengers Movie made a revenue of approximately one billion dollars worldwide allowed him to be paid top dollar. It was reported that he was earned about 50 million for the second Avengers movie. Robert Downey Jr. high demand would allow him to negotiate a profitable deal with the upcoming Marvel movies. Similar to Arnold Schwarzenegger, he would be one of the main players who would receive a part of the gross profit. Robert Downey Jr. agreement would consist of a pay or play fee, as a result he would get paid regardless if the movie is made or not.
