America’s Dad Has anyone ever wanted to accomplish a goal so badly that they gave up a good education to have it? Bill Cosby risked his school education on being a comedian and he made it happen. Bill Cosby is a family friendly comedian who has, without a doubt, touched America’s heart. America named Bill Cosby “America’s Dad”, for all of his relatable and personal humor. Ever since Cosby was a little boy, he wanted to be a comedian, and followed his dream to the big time. Bill Cosby may not have had all the education he could, but he made a great comedian.

Bill landed a vanguard role in I Spy, and later starred in his own show, “The Bill Cosby Show” and in addition to those, Bill acted in multiple other films (Rizzo 1). In the 1980s, Bill produced and starred in what is considered one of the decade’s defining sitcoms, “The Cosby Show” (Rizzo 1). Bill Cosby became one of the most popular television performers of the 1980’s with the success of “The Cosby Show” (“President Bush Announces...” 1). “The Cosby Show” lasted eight seasons from 1984 to 1992, and is still in syndication (Rizzo 1).
