Introduction and Brief History
“Riordan Manufacturing is a global plastics manufacturer employing 550 people with projected annual earnings of $46 million. The company is wholly owned by Riordan Industries, a Fortune 1000 enterprise with revenues in excess of $1 billion.
Its products include plastic beverage containers produced at its plant in Albany, Georgia, custom plastic parts produced at its plant in Pontiac, Michigan, and plastic fan parts produced at its facilities in Hangzhou, China. This will be the first of three reports detailing this procedure. In this first report, we will be using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method to identify the stakeholders, acquiring information via specific techniques with the use of systems analysis tools, identifying key factors to ensure that the information gathered is legitimate, and exploring the project’s scope and feasibility. At the conclusion, we will be ready to begin implementing these steps as we proceed into the design developmental phases of our project.
Key Stakeholders in Riordan
As with any project, the planning phase is the most important step towards beginning. The SDLC is subdivided into four general phases: Systems Planning and Selection, Systems Analysis, Systems Design, and Systems Implementations and Operations.
